Our History

Mybra Lingerie PVT Ltd was founded in the year 1968 by Mr. A.N. Radhakrishnan and Mrs. Lalu Radhakrishnan, who was one of the pioneers in Indian intimate wear manufacturing industries. Mybra’s journey began with simply three sewing machines that he put in the corner of his father’s hosiery factory in Kannur. From then on, the lingerie business has grown every year in a very steady manner. With its headquarters located in Bengaluru (Bangalore) and over 50 years of existence, Mybra has expanded to become one of the biggest lingerie manufacturing companies and lingerie brands in South India.

Around 1982 a significant portion of the manufacturing unit of Mybra was shifted from Kannur (Kerala, India) to Bangalore (Karnataka, India) with a vision to expand and create a strong brand presence in South India. This strategy was successful, as today Mybra has three state-of-the-art manufacturing factories located in Kannur and Bengaluru (Bangalore) housing over 800 machines. We are able to maintain our position as market leaders in the segments we serve because the company constantly keeps innovating and adapting to the latest trends. Mybra was the first to establish a moulded seamless bra manufacturing plant, as well as the first to introduce the best bras, like the underwired bra, no-coverage bra, full-coverage bra, round-stitch bra and cotton-lycra bra. In addition to this, we are the only company in South India with its own in-house elastic unit, which is one of a kind. With this kind of strong infrastructure, we have been able to easily supply over 3000 retail outlets with ease. Mybra has a strong presence in Kerala, India; Tamil Nadu, India; Andhra Pradesh, India; and Telangana, India. 

In the early 80s, MYBRA started its first export to the U.A.E and for a fun fact, MYBRA was one of the earliest lingerie exporters in India. Within the next 6 years, MYBRA was present in more than 5 countries, including the U.S.A. and the U.K., after which MYBRA was present worldwide. In 2021 Mybra was rebranded to Gossip and is currently in the transition of the rebranding.
